The New Foster Care is proud to help youth in foster care see and harness the greatness that exists within them. Several youth in foster care in Detroit, Michigan were encouraged and empowered.

The New Foster Care puts on an annual Family Fun Day for all adoptive, kinship and foster families. This is a way for all youth and families to have a day filled with fun and be able to connect with each other.

DTE Energy employee, Heather Rivard, won the Energetic Women's Maverick Award. Due to winning this award, a video was created to showcase how many different people she has inspired and worked with.
